Nana Appiah Mensah, the CEO of Zylofon Media has ordered that a lip-smacking amount of $10,000 be given to ailing Ghanaian highlife legend Jewel Ackah.
The ‘Kyere Mase’ singer who has been fighting for his health for some time now, made sorrowful revelation about his condition on Peace FM‘s Entertainment Review show on Saturday.
According to the musician he has been neglected by the opposition National Democratic Congress; despite composing their ‘Arise Arise’ song ahead of the 2008 electioneering campaign.
The bitter account given by the veteran music icon reached the warmth heart of Nana Appiah Mensah – who has – through Zylofon Media decided to make the donation to the former.
This announcement was made known by the Head of Communications of the art and entertainment outfit Samuel Atuobi Baah moments later.
Like many Ghanaian public figures, Jewel who had an appealing musical career years ago suffered a downturn following his involvement in politics.
Zylofon Media has been a force to reckon with in Ghana’s art and entertainment industry after officially opening for business. The company which has its headquarters in East Legon, Accra, recently opened another office in the Ashanti regional capital Kumasi.
