The 2017 Premium Bank Ghana StartUp Awards winners have been announced – and a list of illustrious Ghanaian and Non-Ghanaian startups emerged victors.
Among them include My Home Teacher – the platform designed to provide parents with well-qualified teachers to teach their wards at home won the ‘Education StartUp of the Year’ and ‘Student StartUp of the Year’ awards. Fintech startup Zeepay also won the covetous ‘StartUp of the Year’ award. Other winners were Tonaton Ghana, Express Pay, Wear Ghana, Asoriba, Creo Concept, Dough Man Foods, Trotro Tractor and more.
The second edition of the Premium Bank Ghana StartUp Awards was held on Thursday, July 13 at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra under the theme “Honouring Innovative & Globally Competitive StartUps.”
Ekow Mensah, the CEO of TANOE and Chariman of the Ghana StartUp Awards noted “it is a giant step in the right direction in giving startups the needed exposure, public recognition and support.”
The event which was hosted by Kwame A. A. Opoku also saw performances from Six Strings and McIntosh.
