Afriyie Acquah Assists Jordan Ayew

Ghana won in the friendly game against Congo Brazzaville on Tuesday and it took a well-kicked pass from midfielder Afriyie Acquah to striker Jordan Ayew to settle at the score.

The Black Stars took the lead earlier in the second half with goals from Babele [own goal] and Richmond Boakye-Yiadom before the former pulled one back for the home side in the 50th minute before coming level with the Black Stars in injury time.

Despite the brouhaha surrounding Afriyie, Jordan and the latter’s wife they joyously hugged each other after the goal was scored in the eleventh hour.

The match was played to officially open the newly-constructed 60,000 capacity Kintele Stadium in the Central African country.

Ghana will be heading to Kigali to play Rwanda on Saturday in the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations group H qualifier.
